At Zalf & Zest® Pelletteria, our leather craftsmanship reflects over sixty years of family tradition. From humble beginnings in rawhide trading, we’ve grown through four generations, staying true to our core values of integrity, artistry, and quality.

 

Humble Beginnings, Grand Vision

Our journey began in the early 1960s, when craftsmanship was prized over convenience. Starting with rawhide trading, our founders gained deep knowledge of leather, sparking a lifelong passion. As the business passed through generations, each brought fresh ideas while honoring the legacy before them.

Rising Through the Ranks

By the late 1970s and 1980s, our family gained a strong reputation in leather tanning for high standards, consistency, and expertise. Our tannery produced leather known for its richness and character. This reputation attracted European buyers and fashion houses, impressed by our traditional methods and commitment to quality.

 

The Birth of the Brand

In the 1990s, we shifted from tanning leather for others to launching our own luxury line. Our debut collection, designed with Italian maestro Mr. Mazzente, combined European elegance and Indian artistry. These pieces reflected our identity and values beyond mere accessories.
